About The Chatham Granite Club

Our Mission

To carry on the game and pastime of curling, to promote and provide for all who wish to participate in the game.

The Chatham Granite Club was founded in 1862, when its first members began curling on the Thames River. That makes the Chatham Granite Club one of the oldest curling clubs in Canada. The club was later moved into its present location on William Street.  Five pristine sheets of ice are housed under beautiful British Columbia Cedar for leagues of all levels. Whether you are a beginner or a competitive curler, we hope to see you on the ice this year.

The Chatham Granite Club is celebrating its long history as a curling club in Chatham.  The club is committed to promote the love of curling by providing curling instruction and recreational play to children, adults and seniors as well as special populations.  We continue to organize quality bonspiels, and host provincial and international events for our competitive curlers.
